Karina Aileen

Karina Ailéen My daughter Karina Aileen was born on February 12th, 2006, at 11:19AM. She was born healthy and very big (4370 g), and both her and mom are doing extremely well.
I am so happy. I had expected to be happy and enchanted with the baby, but nothing prepared me for the sheer magnitude of the joy and emotion of holding that little squirming person in my arms, of feeling her tiny hand grab my finger; or for the almost physical pain when I have to go away and can’t be with her for a while. Sounds corny, but that’s the way it is. I think this is truly one of those things that you cannot explain or be explained until you experience it yourself.

Anyway, off to the hospital to see her 🙂

  1. I just chanced upon this poking around the web – congratulations to both you and your wife! She’s a gorgeous little girl 🙂 Hope all is well with you both in Switzerland.

    Best,

  2. Congrats! my partner and i are expecting the birth of our first ANY DAY NOW! (“due” march 3) 😉 Saw the link to your contraction monitor software and was curious…. but i cant imagine using my powerbook to keep track of this though and will probably use a watch, pen and paper… but thats cool. Mostly I’m just being bored and anxious waiting for labor to start… hahah… Good luck with the new baby!

  3. Brian – thanks for the comment and the good wishes! I wrote the software mostly to keep myself entertained during the wait 😉 my wife also thought it was too geeky. Good luck with the baby to you as well!
